Report 6

Plant invasion is now evident at the Cambridgeshire organic clay loam and the Lincolnshire organic sites. Egg hatch continues slowly, although the Cambridge organic site has dropped back. Still no egg hatch at the Yorkshire site. In any struggling, backward or particularly thin crops considered to be at risk a treatment should be made at the first available opportunity as tiller survival will be very important in these crops.

Action:
Use Risk Assessment Charts to identify fields at high risk. Treatments should be made to fields in the highest risk category.
